About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Remote Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various tax-related tasks and ensuring compliance with US Federal and State Income Tax regulations. As a Remote Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial reporting and compliance processes.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and review tax returns, including Form 1040 and Form 1120S, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct tax research and provide insights on tax implications for various business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax planning and compliance initiatives.
• Assist in audit coordination and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Utilize tools such as AvaTax and NetSuite for efficient tax management and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-5 years of experience as a Remote Tax Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US Federal and State Income Tax regulations.
• Experience with tax preparation software, such as Intuit ProConnect.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with VAT and GST/HST regulations.
• Familiarity with Groovy Script, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Previous experience in public accounting or tax consulting.
