Management Accountant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Management Accountant - Remote to join GEDU Global Education. In this role, you will work closely with the finance team and the Finance Business Partner (FBP) to provide essential management accounting support. Your insights will aid decision-making processes across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, ensuring all income and liabilities are correctly recorded and reconciled.
• Complete month-end close tasks within published timelines, including processing journals (accruals/prepayments) and maintaining detailed supporting documentation.
• Review GL postings and raise relevant corrections as needed.
• Investigate and resolve queries relating to variances, providing balance sheet reconciliations with detailed explanations.
• Develop robust annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing key drivers such as student numbers and payroll.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis when required, building effective relationships across the Finance team and other departments.
• Deputize for the Finance Business Partner when required.

Requirements

• Currently studying towards or has obtained an accounting certification.
• A strong working knowledge of finance, including month-end processes, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Flexible with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Experience using ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong planning, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze information effectively.
• Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the education sector.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance.
• Knowledge of advanced financial modeling techniques.
