Remote Solution Engineer - Inside Sales Support
About the Role
We are seeking a Remote Solution Engineer Inside Sales Support to join our dynamic team at Illumio. As a leader in ransomware and breach containment, Illumio is redefining how organizations manage cyber threats. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving our sales efforts, partnering closely with Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to deliver exceptional technical support and guidance. Your expertise will help us enhance our customer relationships and accelerate sales cycles.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with ISRs to quickly qualify opportunities, aligning on business outcomes and advancing deals from initial meetings to demos and successful closures.
- Develop and maintain technical relationships within your assigned segments, translating complex concepts into clear, outcome-oriented narratives that resonate with customers.
- Deliver engaging demos and micro demos tailored to ISR cadences, utilizing customer stories and use case-driven flows to illustrate the value of Illumio's solutions.
- Efficiently execute remote Proof of Concepts (PoCs), establishing clear success criteria, timelines, and exit plans that align with MEDDPICC and value selling frameworks.
- Support the ISR motion by creating reusable assets such as discovery guides, demo scripts, objection handling playbooks, and ROI snippets.
- Contribute to demand generation programs by presenting at live webinars, virtual events, and assisting with trade shows and symposiums.
- Author thought leadership content, including blogs and white papers, that elevates Illumio's perspective on Zero Trust Segmentation and ransomware mitigation.
- Assist partners with enablement and co-sell deals to maximize mutual benefits, particularly in channel-led motions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the industry with at least 5 years in a pre-sales capacity, preferably in customer-facing technical roles supporting Inside Sales and high-velocity motions.
- Domain expertise in cloud migration strategies, services offered by major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), cloud-native development, and container orchestration.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and tooling for cloud-native applications, with the ability to articulate architectural trade-offs.
- Hands-on development or scripting experience, with familiarity in APIs and automation methods being a plus.
- Solid knowledge of risk-based assessments and frameworks, with experience administering Windows and Linux systems.
- Proficiency in sales methodologies and tools, including MEDDPICC/value selling, Salesforce, and ISR-centric tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Outreach.
- Exceptional presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, whether in impromptu settings or polished demos.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.
