About the Role

Join Cartwheel as a Remote Government Relations Executive to help tackle the student mental health crisis. As a key player in our mission, you will work closely with K-12 schools, students, and families to enhance mental health services. Cartwheel is the trusted mental health partner to schools, and in just three years, we have become the nation's largest provider of mental health services in collaboration with schools, serving more than 325 school districts across 16 states. This Remote Government Relations Executive role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students and families.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain relationships with government officials and education stakeholders to advocate for mental health initiatives.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure earlier intervention and higher engagement in mental health care.
• Coordinate efforts among trusted adults in a student’s life to improve health and educational outcomes.
• Assist in the expansion of Cartwheel's services to hundreds more school districts in 2026.
• Engage in strategic planning to enhance the effectiveness of mental health programs in schools.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in government relations or advocacy, preferably in the education or health sectors.
• Strong understanding of mental health issues affecting students and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Passion for improving student mental health and educational outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with K-12 education systems.
