We are looking for a Remote Fullstack Engineer to join our team and help us pioneer the next era of AI, defined by agents we trust to act on our behalf. As a Remote Fullstack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building human-centered AI models that combine emotional intelligence (EQ) and raw intelligence (IQ), transforming interactions from transactional to relational.

Your work will be instrumental in creating enduring value for individuals and enterprises alike. Our innovative solutions manifest in two primary ways: Pi, your personal AI designed to be a supportive companion, and our platform that provides large-language models (LLMs) and APIs for builders and enterprises. We aim to integrate emotional intelligence into experiences where empathy and human understanding are paramount.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs that power production LLM experiences, including agentic workflows, memory systems, and tool integrations.
• Build and operate high-availability infrastructure to support real-time inference, retrieval, and conversation pipelines.
• Develop internal platforms to enhance engineering productivity, including CI/CD pipelines, service templates, observability frameworks, and more.
• Collaborate across research, product, and infrastructure teams to enable rapid iteration and secure delivery of novel AI features to millions of users.
• Ensure high reliability and stability of our production systems, directly impacting product development pace.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Fullstack Engineer, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of API design and development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Knowledge of emotional intelligence concepts and their application in AI.
• Previous work in a fast-paced startup environment.
