About the Role

At Anchorage Digital, we are seeking a Remote Engineering Manager to lead our Self Custody team. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our engineering organization, focusing on delivering a world-class digital asset platform for institutions participating in the crypto space.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality execution and timely delivery of projects.
• Drive operational excellence and create a technology strategy that aligns with our engineering roadmap.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering their personal and professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define product investments and ensure alignment with team capabilities.
• Influence hiring and retention strategies to build a high-performance engineering team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical experience as a software engineer.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience in the blockchain space is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams across different time zones.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with applied cryptography.
• Background in finance or working on self-custody wallets.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Go, Rust, TypeScript, or Solidity.
