Remote Engineering Manager - Data and Analytics Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Engineering Manager to lead our Data and Analytics Platform teams at GoCardless. In this role, you will be responsible for building and operating the foundational data infrastructure that powers decision-making across GoCardless. As a Remote Engineering Manager, you will develop a high-performing team of data engineers and analysts, ensuring that our data solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with our business goals.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of our data infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization.
• Implement best practices for data management, analytics, and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions.
• Drive the adoption of AI-powered solutions to enhance payment success and reduce fraud.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in engineering management, specifically in data and analytics.
• Strong understanding of data infrastructure, data warehousing, and analytics tools.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in a remote work environment.
• Proficiency in data technologies such as SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
