About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting with bankruptcy cases, ensuring that all legal documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently. As a Remote Bankruptcy Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys and clients to facilitate the bankruptcy process, providing essential support and guidance.

What You'll Do

• Assist attorneys in preparing bankruptcy petitions and related documents for Chapters 7, 11, and 13.
• Manage electronic filings and ensure compliance with court requirements.
• Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation.
• Utilize legal software such as BestCase and Clio for document management and case tracking.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of findings for attorney review.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status and required actions.
• Support the team with administrative tasks and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in bankruptcy law.
• Proficiency in legal software, including BestCase and Clio.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of USCIS forms and immigration law is a plus.
• Familiarity with California family law and probate is advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CM/ECF and electronic filing systems.
• Certification from a recognized paralegal program.
• Background in real estate law or contract management.
