About the Role

We're hiring an Assistant Manager - Off-site Services to lead our home-based pet operations in Devon. This Assistant Manager - Off-site Services role is crucial in ensuring that every pet finds the perfect match with their new family while maintaining top-quality care throughout the adoption journey.

What You'll Do

• Lead and streamline home-based pet operations, ensuring high standards of care for pets and clients.
• Oversee daily activities and act as the subject matter expert in animal handling and assessment.
• Manage a team of Pet Welfare Assistants and Foster Coordinators, motivating them to achieve pet-related targets.
• Ensure timely pet assessments, behavior management, and training for optimal adoption readiness.
• Implement innovative solutions to address urgent cases effectively, given the absence of cattery or kennel facilities.

Requirements

• Significant experience in managing a team in an animal-related environment.
• Expert knowledge of pet welfare and handling of domestic animals.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Current full driving license.
• Ability to demonstrate and apply Blue Cross values in practice.
