About the Role

Avery Dennison is looking for a Regional Sales Director to join our team in North America. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the growth strategy for Taylor Adhesives, a flagship brand within our North American Materials Group. As a Regional Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy and driving our sales initiatives across complex distribution channels.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the growth strategy for Taylor Adhesives, focusing on innovative solutions.
  • Manage a team of 8 regional experts, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Define and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business and customer plans.
  • Negotiate major contracts to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Operations to align strategies.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for marketplace advantage.
  • Participate in trade associations and technical conferences to enhance visibility.
  • Attract and develop high-potential talent to strengthen the team.
  • Expect to travel 60% of the time to meet clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of sales or business development experience.
  • Experience in the building products industry, preferably in Adhesives and Flooring.
  • Strong background in strategic leadership and contract negotiation.
  • Advanced business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to convey information concisely and effectively.

  • Experience with digital transformation in sales processes.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in materials science.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
