Design Manager - Data Centers (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Manager - Data Centers (Remote) to join our team at AECOM. In this role, you will oversee a variety of colocation and hyper-scale data center projects, providing the flexibility of a remote work schedule. As a leading global infrastructure consulting firm, AECOM is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in planning, design, engineering, and construction management.

What You'll Do

• Lead data center due diligence and design teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Manage projects from site due diligence to construction administration, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Develop and enforce multi-site project management plans to streamline operations.
• Host meetings with clients and stakeholders to communicate project updates and resolve issues.
• Develop technical and financial proposals that align with client needs and project goals.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders to foster collaboration and trust.
• Occasional travel may be required for client meetings and site visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience in data center design management.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and Professional Engineer license.
• 12 years of experience in data center design management is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively convey ideas and updates.
• Strong team leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
