About the Role

What You'll Do

  • Inspire Your Team: Translate our company's vision into clear, actionable goals for the QC Microbiology team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Lead with Expertise: Use your strong problem-solving skills to guide the team through complex challenges, mentoring them to find effective solutions.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion new ideas and lean practices to enhance our processes and build a culture of "right first time" quality.
  • Develop Talent: Actively coach your team members, supporting their growth and creating a dynamic learning environment.
  • Champion Safety: Promote a proactive safety culture where every team member feels responsible for a safe workplace.
  • Manage Change: Guide your team through organizational changes with effective and supportive techniques.

Requirements

  • A degree in a scientific or technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing a team in a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide clear updates to colleagues and senior leaders.
  • A deep understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), global regulations, and quality systems.
  • A proactive and logical approach to problem-solving, especially under pressure.
  • A flexible, self-motivated work style and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with technology transfer processes.
