About the Role

We are seeking a Production Engine Assembly Process Engineer to join our team at GE Aerospace. This remote opportunity allows you to own and improve production engine assembly processes, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery for our LM2500, LM6000, CF6, and LMS100 programs. You will play a crucial role in daily problem-solving and process improvement initiatives aligned with our Lean framework, FLIGHT DECK.

What You'll Do

  • Rapidly respond to Non-Conformance Report (NCR) notifications and evaluate current conditions against engineering blueprints and specifications.
  • Lead and support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives, coordinating with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other operational teams.
  • Participate in Daily Management and shop cadences, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Production (SQDIP) KPIs.
  • Develop and implement process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize your technical expertise in mechanical engineering to execute policies and strategies effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of operational/engineering experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Technical aptitude to navigate engineering and quality requirements in the aviation industry.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and Lean principles.
