Product Owner - Billing & Finance (Remote)

About the Role

Akkodis is seeking a Product Owner - Billing & Finance remote to join our team. This is a fully remote contract role with a duration of 12 months and the possibility of extension or conversion. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance and experience in managing billing and finance products.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Billing Payments capability on our roadmap and drive the transition to The One Billing Ecosystem (TOBE).
• Define strategy, prioritize the payments backlog, and deliver integrated solutions that connect and rationalize legacy billing systems across all lines of business.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data, operations, and business stakeholders to reduce legacy dependence for customers, agents, and partners.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear user stories and success metrics.
• Work in Agile teams to deliver measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc.) and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience with Agile teams.
• 7 years of experience in business, technology, or consulting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with payment processing, reconciliation, APIs, and security/privacy standards is a plus.
