Product Operations Manager - Payments & Open Banking (Remote)

About the Role

We’re hiring a Product Operations Manager to join our team at Monzo, focusing on Payments & Open Banking. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK. As a Product Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in scaling Monzo’s core payments offering, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Own and scale operations by managing and building robust systems that ensure efficient money movement.
• Drive data-informed improvements by analyzing customer issues and proposing solutions to enhance outcomes.
• Manage external partnerships, ensuring that our suppliers meet performance expectations.
• Champion internal alignment by collaborating with Customer Operations to optimize support processes.
• Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs within the organization.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in UK payment systems, especially Faster Payments, Bacs, and Open Banking.
• Proven experience in building and scaling complex operational systems.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to use data for decision-making.
• Experience managing external partnerships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
• Familiarity with customer support systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the payments sector.
