About the Role

We're hiring a Principal Software Engineer (Java/React Full Stack) to join our dynamic team at Claritev. This remote position offers the opportunity to impact real healthcare outcomes through innovative technology solutions. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing scalable claims pricing solutions that are compliant and performant.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop claims pricing services using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
  • Implement and maintain pricing logic, rules, calculations, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and performance at scale.
  • Build services that process high-volume claims data using asynchronous and event-driven patterns (Kafka / Event Hub / OCI Streaming).
  • Ensure pricing solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements common to healthcare claims environments.
  • Develop high-throughput backend services with a focus on latency, throughput, idempotency, and error handling.
  • Enhance React.js applications for pricing analysts and operations teams, focusing on usability and performance.
  • Collaborate with Product and SMEs to translate pricing policies into well-designed, testable code.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with automated tests and quality gates using Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on full-stack experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and Next.js.
  • Expert in modern Java (JDK 21) and experience leading migrations to JDK 17+.
  • 5+ years building responsive UIs with React and Next.js, with proven performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with OCI cloud and Terraform in production environments.
  • CI/CD ownership with GitHub Actions and strong Kubernetes operations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI enablement and LLM/prompt engineering.
  • Knowledge of Agentic AI and GitHub Copilot best practices.
