Compliance Specialist (Remote) - 25 Hours per Week

About the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Specialist (Remote) to join our team at SIGNAL IDUNA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying and assessing compliance risks, ensuring that our compliance program is effectively implemented. You will work closely with the board and the Chief Compliance Officer, providing insights and recommendations to enhance our compliance management system.

What You'll Do

• Identify and evaluate compliance risks associated with business operations.
• Prepare, analyze, and document compliance-related issues and findings.
• Communicate the results of compliance program implementations to senior management.
• Act as a cross-hierarchical point of contact for compliance topics and provide guidance.
• Monitor risk mitigation measures and develop improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with the central compliance office to enhance compliance frameworks.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the compliance management system.
• Engage in a variety of compliance-related tasks in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Degree in law, business administration, or a completed commercial training with a focus on compliance.
• First experience in regulatory compliance and familiarity with terms such as VVaG, MaGo, Solvency I and II regulations.
• Strong understanding of complex business processes, laws, and regulations.
• Ability to distill complex issues into clear and actionable insights.
• Team player with a reliable, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
• Desire to work independently and drive projects forward.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the insurance sector.
• Knowledge of compliance management systems.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
