Principal Electrical Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced defense technology projects while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in mixed signal PCB design to contribute to critical military applications.

What You'll Do

• Design embedded processor circuit boards using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop designs based on modeling and simulations.
• Translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
• Drive projects to execute program schedules on time and within budget.
• Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in the design and implementation of mixed signal electronic circuits and systems.
• Experience implementing high-speed memory (DDR) and high-speed circuit designs (e.g., PCIE, 100GbE).
• Signal Integrity analysis skills, including experience using tools such as Hyperlynx SI.
• Experience using Power Integrity analysis tools such as Mentor’s Hyperlynx PI.

Nice to Have

• Experience fielding and troubleshooting a variety of systems including custom designed processor and/or FPGA based circuit boards.
• Experience constructing test and integration plans for circuit boards.
• Experience using engineering CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition Designer.
• Embedded system design experience utilizing microprocessors and microcontrollers along with C code based programming.
• FPGA development or verification skills using SystemVerilog, OVM, or VHDL.
