About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Business Finance & Analytics to join our team at Airbnb. This remote role is pivotal in leading the finance partnership with our North America Global Markets team. You will be at the forefront of performance management, financial analysis, and strategy development to drive growth across our marketplace. With over 10 years of relevant experience in finance or analytics, you will leverage your expertise to enhance our financial operations and contribute to our mission of creating a trusted travel community.

What You'll Do

• Lead finance partnership with the North America Global Markets team, focusing on performance management and KPI analysis.
• Support strategy discussions and resource allocation to drive business growth.
• Develop analytical frameworks for informed decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for growth through quantitative analysis and deep dives into business trends in the US and Canada.
• Build ad hoc reporting for performance drivers and communicate insights to executive audiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and drive change.
• Utilize advanced SQL knowledge for data synthesis and financial modeling in Excel.
• Present insights effectively, showcasing strong analytical skills and narrative development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in finance or analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; MBA preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
• Advanced SQL knowledge for data synthesis.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights.
• Ability to influence cross-functionally and drive change.
• Strong analytical skills and narrative development.
• Experience in marketplace or travel metrics is a plus.
