About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant - Remote to join our innovative team at Rula. This role is essential for supporting the daily operations of our Accounting team, ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and cash activity is tracked efficiently. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in completing monthly financial close tasks on time and providing reliable financial reporting to support our business operations.

What You'll Do

• Process invoices accurately and track cash activity in a timely manner.
• Complete monthly financial close tasks and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to enhance financial reporting.
• Utilize advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills to manage financial data.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while handling sensitive financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a remote setting.
• Solid foundational knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables) or Google Sheets.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage competing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with remote work best practices.
• Certification in accounting (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
