About the Role

We are seeking a Primary Systems Administrator to join our team at Northrop Grumman, a leader in technological advancements that impact lives globally. What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary Systems Administrator for a classified government contract, ensuring smooth operations of multi-user computer systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing support and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance system performance through upgrades, monitoring, and configuration management.
  • Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems, and ensure virus protection is up to date.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, modify file permissions, and adhere to strict security guidelines.
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend solutions to improve system reliability.
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate products and services that enhance our systems.
  • Document technical processes and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Must possess a current DoD Secret level security clearance, with Top Secret eligibility.
  • Experience with Windows (desktop and server), Linux (Red Hat or HPC), VMWare, and storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS).
  • Security+ CE or equivalent certification is required.
  • Proven ability to support large user populations in a secure environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CISCO networks.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools.
  • Previous roles in government contracting environments.
