People Operations Partner - Remote Opportunity

Scopely is seeking a People Operations Partner to join our dynamic People Team in Tokyo, Japan. This remote opportunity allows you to work in a hybrid model, spending three days a week at our hub. What You'll Do

• Oversee the seamless execution of People Operations across the employee lifecycle, enhancing the overall employee experience.
• Support the administration of benefits programs, acting as the local benefits expert for Japan.
• Ensure HR processes comply with local labor laws and global standards, updating practices as legislation changes.
• Conduct quarterly audits to maintain employee data integrity and prepare compliance reports for government agencies.
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and leave of absence (LOA).
• Develop and maintain HR policies in partnership with Employee Relations, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.
• Analyze JIRA metrics and People Analytics to identify trends and improve operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core People processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of HR generalist or related experience, with hands-on experience across onboarding, offboarding, LOA, global mobility, and compensation.
• Strong working knowledge of local employment laws, particularly in Japan.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Experience with Workday preferred.
