People Advisor - Remote Opportunity with Rugby Football Union
About the Role
We are looking for a People Advisor to join our team at Rugby Football Union (RFU). This remote People Advisor role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of rugby in England. What You'll Do
- Provide operational and strategic support to ensure RFU performs at its best.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and exit interviews.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment & Operations Advisor to streamline recruitment processes.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and UKBA guidelines during pre-employment screening.
- Lead cross-organizational People projects and stay updated on best practices.
- Coach and support managers in handling employee relations and performance management.
- Act as a super-user for Oracle HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and effective usage.
- Utilize data insights to help the business make informed decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role with a focus on employee relations.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport at all levels.
- Strong technical aptitude with HR systems, preferably Oracle Cloud.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with integrity and resilience.

Nice to Have
- Experience in sports management or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring within a corporate environment.
