People Advisor - Remote Opportunity with Rugby Football Union

About the Role

We are looking for a People Advisor to join our team at Rugby Football Union (RFU). This remote People Advisor role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of rugby in England. What You'll Do

• Provide operational and strategic support to ensure RFU performs at its best.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and exit interviews.
• Collaborate with the Recruitment & Operations Advisor to streamline recruitment processes.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and UKBA guidelines during pre-employment screening.
• Lead cross-organizational People projects and stay updated on best practices.
• Coach and support managers in handling employee relations and performance management.
• Act as a super-user for Oracle HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and effective usage.
• Utilize data insights to help the business make informed decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a generalist HR advisory role with a focus on employee relations.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport at all levels.
• Strong technical aptitude with HR systems, preferably Oracle Cloud.
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with integrity and resilience.

Nice to Have

• Experience in sports management or a similar industry.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring within a corporate environment.
