Payment Operations Specialist - Remote Role in FinTech

About the Role

We are seeking a Payment Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at WeTravel. This remote position is perfect for someone passionate about optimizing payment workflows and enhancing user experiences in the travel and fintech sectors. As a key player in our operations, you will support and scale our core operational workflows across payments, risk, and customer operations.

What You'll Do

• Support payment screening by reviewing incoming and outgoing payments to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
• Monitor transaction activity to detect unusual patterns and analyze operational data for potential risks.
• Investigate and document fraudulent activities related to card and bank payments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations and address complex cases.
• Take ownership of various operational projects and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Operations, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in an analytical or operations role with customer-facing responsibilities.
• Familiarity with payment operations, including card payments and fraud prevention.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risk effectively.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with major payment service providers like Stripe or Adyen.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
