Operations Manager - Manufacturing (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Manufacturing to join our team at Lush. This role is primarily remote, allowing you to oversee our manufacturing operations while ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance. As an Operations Manager, you will develop and execute effective manufacturing strategies to support our sales and profitability targets, ensuring that our production facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the operations of the production floor, identifying training opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Implement and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as a self-certified manufacturer.
• Motivate and train the team to prioritize production in line with store demand, focusing on local and global KPIs.
• Manage recruitment, induction, and training of staff to build a skilled workforce.
• Prepare annual financial budget projections, including capital expenditure for the production facility.
• Coordinate product launches with other departments to maximize sales and profitability.
• Monitor marketplace trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead teams effectively.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, operations, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills to identify business trends.
• Passion for manufacturing ethical, fresh products and awareness of emerging trends.
• Strong ethical compass aligned with Lush's brand values.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a similar role within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management.
