Process Manager - Gravel and Sand Production (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Process Manager for our gravel and sand production operations at the DBM Vlissingen plant. This role is crucial in overseeing the washing, crushing, and screening processes to produce high-quality aggregates for the concrete industry. As a Process Manager, you will ensure that production meets quality and safety standards while leading a team of operators in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the end-to-end production process of washing, crushing, and screening to meet customer specifications.
• Coordinate three shifts with approximately 20 operators, planning daily priorities and ensuring safe execution of operations.
• Translate quality specifications into actionable instructions for operators, verifying that outputs match target curves.
• Adjust equipment settings, monitor throughput, and troubleshoot bottlenecks in real-time to optimize production.
• Conduct routine quality assurance checks, trigger lab tests, and lead root-cause analyses when quality issues arise.
• Coach operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Align production schedules with shipping logistics, monitor inventory levels, and secure timely deliveries.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on runtime, yield, and resource efficiency.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in the sand and gravel or aggregates industry, with a strong understanding of washing, crushing, and screening processes.
• Solid knowledge of material testing and specifications, including sieves, PSD curves, and cleanliness standards.
• Hands-on experience with heavy-duty equipment such as wheel loaders and excavators.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical information into practical instructions for operators.
• Fluency in Dutch and a basic understanding of English.
• Ability to balance office responsibilities with hands-on plant activities.
• Proactive, safety-minded, and data-driven, with a passion for leading a multi-shift operation.
