Murex Analyst - Remote Opportunity at Synechron

About the Role
We are seeking a Murex Analyst remote to join our dynamic team at Synechron. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring data integrity and reliable risk calculations across treasury, FICC, and EQD products. Your expertise will help us automate manual processes and maintain comprehensive documentation to support seamless trading operations.
What You'll Do
- Act as the owner of Murex binary non-regression testing, collaborating with the QA team to investigate discrepancies in automation processes.
- Analyze cash flow discrepancies in the livebook and support the PLVAR module for FICC and EQD products.
- Replicate PLVAR results for each risk factor and assist in creating new data extractions or feeders for Murex.
- Work closely with the IT team to resolve data quality issues and ensure accurate reporting.
- Utilize SQL to manipulate database queries and analyze data within the Sybase database of Murex.
- Provide pricing mapping between Totem’s submission template and Murex e-tradepad fields.
- Collaborate with senior Java developers and Murex vendors to validate and debug API pricing issues.
- Document business requests and solutions in Jira, ensuring rigorous follow-up and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Murex Analyst or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to lead meetings and collaborate with multi-desk users.
- Detail-oriented with a strong desire to understand and learn the domain.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with pre-trade rules is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience in automation opportunities to minimize manual processes.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for documentation and project management.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and its applications in financial services.
