Mid-Senior Remote Test Engineer - Government IT Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Test Engineer to join our team at GovCIO, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet business requirements through effective testing methodologies. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment to ensure product specifications are met.
• Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating products.
• Create test cases and scenarios, compiling data to define required changes and report defects.
• Consult with development teams to coordinate application testing and perform diagnostics.
• Develop testing procedures, including test plans, scripts, scenarios, and functional tests.
• Implement testing processes and ensure adherence to these processes during all test activities.
• Produce detailed reports on test activities and track metrics for continual improvement.
• Conduct manual and automated testing of integrations, interfaces, and APIs using tools like Ready API and Postman.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience in testing.
• Proven experience in manual, integration, functional, and automated testing.
• Extensive experience with Jira for building test plans and executing tests.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and NIST-800-53 guidance.
• Knowledge of database testing using SQL and writing simple Oracle scripts.
• Experience with VA and/or other Federal Agencies.
