Mid-Senior Graphic Design Designer-in-Residence

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Graphic Design Designer-in-Residence to join our team at VCUarts Qatar. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with students and faculty while contributing to the vibrant creative community in Qatar. As a Graphic Design Designer-in-Residence, you will be instrumental in mentoring students, conducting research, and teaching within the Graphic Design Department.

What You'll Do

• Engage in research and mentor students in the Graphic Design program.
• Teach courses in Graphic Design during the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
• Work on Typographic projects that will culminate in an exhibition/publication.
• Collaborate with faculty and students to create a thriving design community.
• Foster an environment of respect and professionalism among diverse populations.

Requirements

• MA or MFA in Graphic Design or related field; PhD is a plus.
• Demonstrated industry and university teaching experience.
• Robust exhibition and publication portfolio.
• Familiarity with the MENA region.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
