Mid-Level Quality Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at N26. This remote opportunity allows you to be part of a forward-thinking company that is revolutionizing banking. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our banking services, particularly in the area of Customer Identity verification. Your expertise will help us maintain a foundation of trust with our customers and regulators, enabling sustainable growth through proactive risk management.

What You'll Do

• Advocate for a quality culture within cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to best testing practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test cases and documentation for our Android, iOS, and Web applications.
• Integrate testing into the development process, fostering collaboration among team members.
• Coach engineers on testing methodologies, promoting a shared responsibility for quality.
• Develop maintainable automated checks in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
• Proactively suggest enhancements to improve the quality of our tools, services, and products.
• Utilize exploratory testing techniques to identify and prevent issues, report bugs, and ensure their resolution.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality engineering.
• A holistic view of quality, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products.
• Proven experience implementing testing strategies in fast-paced agile environments.
• Demonstrated experience in testing Mobile (Android & iOS), Web, and Microservice applications.
• Solid coding background in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of Clean Code and SOLID design principles.
• Ability to build and maintain test automation frameworks using tools like Appium, Rest-Assured, Gatling, or Cypress.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills with professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or similar issue and test case management tools.
• Experience with compliance in software development.
