Mid-Level DevOps Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the migration of applications and infrastructure from VMware to OpenShift, focusing on execution, automation, and platform support.

What You'll Do

• Execute migration activities from VMware-based environments to OpenShift.
• Containerize applications and optimize Docker/Podman images.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
• Strong experience with containerization tools (Docker, Podman).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with scripting (Bash).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Ansible).
• Advanced English level is required for this role.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
