MERN Stack Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented MERN Stack Developer to join our team at Concorde, Inc. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to our mission of providing high-quality employment screening and health services. As a MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications using the MERN stack, which includes MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on both the front-end and back-end of web applications and has a passion for creating seamless user experiences that address client business needs.

What You'll Do

• Utilize the MERN stack to build and manage both the front-end and back-end of web applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and other developers to create high-quality software solutions.
• Design and maintain databases using MongoDB.
• Write server-side code with Node.js and Express.js.
• Create user interfaces with React.js.
• Conduct tests and debugging to ensure the application runs smoothly.
• Participate in project planning, design discussions, and scheduling.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript & TypeScript with a strong understanding of JavaScript frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Experience with containerization using Docker.
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git (GitHub).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience writing and editing user stories, documenting solutions, and creating technical documentation.
• Knowledge of creating, securing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments, specifically Scrum.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Visual Studio Code and Windows Subsystem for Linux.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps and GitHub actions.
