About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer - Data Center (Remote) to join our team at Olsson. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex engineering-driven projects in the data center sector. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be integral to our mission of improving the world through innovative engineering solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead design and planning for large hyperscale data center projects.
  • Prepare planning and design documents, ensuring compliance with client standards.
  • Conduct design calculations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, acting as a project manager on select assignments.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes on engineering projects.
  • Provide expert advice on complex mechanical engineering issues.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Requirements

  • 6 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other design software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Experience managing teams and projects is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data center design and construction.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in engineering.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
