Manufacturing Operations Business Analyst - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Manufacturing Operations Business Analyst remote to join our Information Technology team at Pella Corporation. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing plant systems and improving processes, ultimately driving operational excellence. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the efficiency and performance of our manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
- Partner with manufacturing and business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze system and process requirements.
- Conduct thoughtful needs assessments to uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Corporate IT and other manufacturing plants to share best practices and standardize efficient solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and system designs.
- Work closely with development and technical teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Create and manage reports and metrics that drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary IT leader at the plant, supporting strategic initiatives and transformation efforts.
- Evaluate current systems and workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Support IT projects from concept through implementation—on time and within scope.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Develop and communicate detailed project plans, milestones, and timelines to IT and plant leadership.
- Create and execute test plans to validate system performance and functionality.
- Investigate, document, and resolve system defects and issues.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning to keep operations running smoothly.
- Maintain and support ERP and Intelligent Operations applications.
- Provide user support and training to drive adoption and effectiveness.
- Develop clear documentation and user guides.
- Participate in shared 24x7 support coverage, scheduled maintenance, and disaster recovery activities.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Present insights, recommendations, and project updates to leadership with confidence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting IT or operations.
- Strong understanding of business processes, data analysis, and enterprise IT systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, SQL, and Oracle EBS.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
- Certifications such as CBAP or PMP.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes including order processing, scheduling, purchasing, and quality.
