Mandatory Internship - Software Engineering & HMI Design

About the Role

We are excited to offer a Mandatory Internship in Software Engineering & HMI Design at AUMOVIO, a leading technology and electronics company in the automotive sector. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in software engineering while working on innovative projects that enhance mobility solutions. As an intern, you will actively support our team and contribute to various software engineering tasks.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement new HMI interfaces and visual styles for applications.
• Enhance the visual appearance of existing 3D applications.
• Optimize applications for mobile rendering environments.
• Add visual effects to procedurally generated meshes, including additional meshes and shaders.
• Develop a unique visual style for applications, ensuring a cohesive user experience.

Requirements

• Students (f/m/diverse) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields with a focus on UI/UX design and visual design.
• Experience in 3D HMI development using tools such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Familiarity with Android development environments is a plus.
• A background in Media Design or Game Design is advantageous.
• A portfolio showcasing previous HMI design projects, ideally created with Unreal Engine.
• Good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork ability, and flexibility.

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile application development.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages.
• Interest in automotive technology trends.
