Manager, Payroll - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Payroll - Remote to join our dynamic team at AdaptHealth. In this role, you will oversee payroll operations for over 12,000 employees across all 50 states, ensuring accuracy and compliance in payroll processing. What You'll Do

• Manage payroll for 12,000+ employees across all 50 states.
• Lead a team of payroll professionals and conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency.
• Prepare management reports on payroll metrics and performance.
• Oversee payroll system administration and data integrity.
• Support M&A activities with payroll due diligence.
• Participate in cross-functional projects requiring payroll expertise.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including a management role.
• Experience managing large-scale payroll operations (5,000+ employees).
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing, including California.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems and enterprise payroll platforms preferred.
• Experience with payroll system implementations preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
