Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs - Remote

About the Role

We're seeking a Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to join Cotulla Education in a remote capacity. This role is crucial in shaping the compliance landscape of our transformative educational institution, which is dedicated to empowering students through hands-on, career-focused training in high-demand fields. As the Vice President, you will oversee regulatory strategy, accreditation oversight, and compliance risk management across our multi-campus organization.

What You'll Do

• Lead enterprise compliance strategy aligned with growth plans.
• Advise executive leadership on regulatory risks and compliance.
• Establish compliance frameworks and monitoring systems.
• Oversee regulatory strategy for expansion initiatives.
• Ensure accreditation compliance and reporting across institutions.
• Monitor federal and state regulatory changes.
• Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
• Build and mentor a high-performing regulatory team.
• Provide training on compliance for corporate and campus leaders.
• Travel up to 15–25% as needed for campus operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or JD preferred.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in postsecondary education compliance.
• Experience with ACCSC and COE accreditation standards.
• Strong understanding of regulatory risk management frameworks.
• Executive-level communication and board reporting experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-state regulatory environments.
• Willingness to travel for campus support.

• Knowledge of emerging educational technologies and compliance implications.
• Familiarity with international education regulations.
