Business Manager - Property Operations (Remote)

We are seeking a Business Manager for Property Operations to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting regional property portfolios, driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and compliance. What You'll Do

• Oversee key operational functions including occupancy management, maintenance oversight, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Support resident retention strategies and renewal workflows to enhance tenant satisfaction.
• Address resident concerns and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor maintenance follow-up, service quality, and resident satisfaction.
• Partner with site teams to ensure timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee delinquency, collections, and rent recovery efforts.
• Ensure compliance with jurisdictional timelines for move-outs and charges.
• Track and report capital expenditures in alignment with approved budgets.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Asset Living policies.
• Collaborate with Regional Portfolio Managers, Community Managers, and Leasing teams to drive portfolio KPIs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in multifamily property management, operations, or asset management.
• Proficiency with property management systems such as Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.
• Demonstrated understanding of leasing operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
