What You'll Do

• Conduct legal research to support compliance initiatives and enhance our understanding of healthcare regulations.
• Review vendor contracts and commercial agreements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Research telehealth regulations across multiple states to facilitate our expansion efforts.
• Draft and revise policies and contracts, ensuring they align with current legal standards.
• Support compliance and privacy initiatives under HIPAA to protect patient information.
• Conduct research on digital health and telemedicine licensing to inform our operational strategies.
• Utilize AI to create efficiencies in the legal department, enhancing our workflow.
• Collaborate with the in-house legal team, gaining insights into the legal aspects of a growing telehealth startup.

Requirements

• Current law student, preferably a rising 2L or 3L.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare law and its implications in the digital age.
• Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.
• Understanding of AI in healthcare and its potential applications.
• Keen curiosity and attention to detail, essential for legal research.
• Ability to collaborate effectively while maintaining ethical standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience with telehealth regulations or digital health initiatives.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks in healthcare.
• Previous internship experience in a legal or healthcare setting.
