Forklift Operator - Logistics Role in Manufacturing

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our logistics team at Ardagh Group in Oss, Netherlands. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for loading and unloading containers and ensuring that our warehouse operations are conducted safely and effectively. This Forklift Operator position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can contribute to the production of over 8 million cans daily.

What You'll Do

• Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and containers.
• Move pallets and goods within our 18,500 m² warehouse.
• Ensure the continuous operation of production lines by transporting materials efficiently.
• Conduct daily safety checks on your forklift to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
• Perform light administrative tasks related to inventory management.
• Collaborate with team members and support the logistics team leader in various tasks.
• Report any damages or issues with received materials promptly.

Requirements

• Valid forklift certification is required.
• Experience operating forklifts with double forks is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive mindset.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
