Lead Test Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Lead Test Engineer to join our dynamic team at Insight Global. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to lead quality assurance efforts in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our medical equipment meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

What You'll Do

• Take full ownership of quality as the Lead Test Engineer, designing, executing, and automating functional, integration, and non-functional tests.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate quality practices throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure each deliverable meets our Definition of Done and aligns with all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements before reaching customers.
• Define and present quality metrics to leadership, demonstrating the effectiveness of testing strategies.
• Utilize your expertise in automated and integration testing for distributed systems to lead quality efforts within Agile/Scrum squads.
• Maintain verification & validation documentation in compliance with regulated QMS standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
• Implement CI/CD practices and leverage DevOps tooling to enhance testing processes.
• Engage in hands-on practice in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software or quality engineering, with a strong focus on automated testing.
• Proven success in leading quality efforts within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps tooling.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Ability to define and present quality metrics to leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a Scrum Master.
