About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at Easterseals Bluegrass. This Lead Teacher remote position involves creating a nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of children. You will design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

What You'll Do

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their overall development.
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of each age group.
  • Maintain classroom order and manage daily activities effectively.
  • Conduct individual conferences with parents to discuss their child's progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain high ethical standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and serve meals, maintaining accurate records of food served.
  • Attend all required meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Commonwealth Child Care Credential, CDA, or early childhood education certification is required.
  • At least 1 year of childcare experience is necessary.
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications are recommended.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Must be 18 years or older as per State Requirements in Childcare.

  • Familiarity with early childhood education best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills.
