Lead Teacher - Child Development Center
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at Easterseals Bluegrass. This Lead Teacher remote position involves creating a nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of children. You will design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensuring that every child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.
What You'll Do
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their overall development.
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of each age group.
- Maintain classroom order and manage daily activities effectively.
- Conduct individual conferences with parents to discuss their child's progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain high ethical standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Prepare and serve meals, maintaining accurate records of food served.
- Attend all required meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required.
- Commonwealth Child Care Credential, CDA, or early childhood education certification is required.
- At least 1 year of childcare experience is necessary.
- CPR and First Aid Certifications are recommended.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Must be 18 years or older as per State Requirements in Childcare.
