About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. This Lead Platform Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative environment. You will play a crucial role in building and optimizing platforms that empower our internal development teams.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement tools and workflows for internal software engineering teams.
- Support enterprise-wide initiatives to streamline operations and improve delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers to solve complex technical problems and enhance internal platforms.
- Create reusable components and automation frameworks that empower engineering teams.
- Utilize your expertise in Python and AWS to build scalable and secure cloud-native applications.
- Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Monitor and optimize performance using tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficient in Python with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, Lambda, and S3.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with offshore development teams is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Nice to Have
- AWS certification.
- Experience with container orchestration using ECS or EKS.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
