About the Role

We're hiring a Lead Instructor: Software Development to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, live, virtual instruction to diverse learners. As a Lead Instructor, you will conduct large synchronous online lectures and prepare engaging virtual classroom sessions. Your expertise will help shape the future of education in the AI economy.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality, live virtual instruction for software development courses.
• Conduct large synchronous online lectures for diverse learners.
• Prepare and lead virtual classroom sessions, ensuring high engagement.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to ensure program success.
• Assist in lesson design and curriculum improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professionalism and foster a positive learning environment.
• Use dynamic teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
• Provide thoughtful and transparent feedback for course improvement.

Requirements

• Senior Engineer or Tech Lead background preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and Linux.
• Knowledge of best engineering practices and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience with Git and familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud technologies.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Charismatic and approachable teaching style.
• GitHub Foundations certification is an asset.

Nice to Have

• Experience conducting gamified learning experiences.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms.
• Previous experience in curriculum development.
