Lead Data Scientist - AI Solutions for Legal Tech

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Lead Data Scientist to join our team at Brightflag, where you will have the opportunity to work remotely or in a hybrid model from anywhere in Ireland. As a Lead Data Scientist remote, you will leverage your extensive experience in building machine learning solutions to tackle complex business challenges, particularly within a SaaS product-focused environment. Your role will involve navigating the full development pipeline, from exploratory analysis to deployment, in a fast-paced environment that values agility and innovation.

What You'll Do

• Own the model development process from initial exploratory analysis and proof of concept through to production as a Lead Data Scientist remote.
• Develop classification, regression, and clustering models to solve business problems effectively.
• Apply generative models to create text, reports, and insights as part of innovative new product features.
• Analyze natural language text to uncover insights and transform data into actionable intelligence.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to deploy models and AI solutions to production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing machine learning models and solutions, ideally in a software product-focused environment.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with NLP techniques, including TFIDF matrices and topic modeling.
• Familiarity with generative AI applications and frameworks, particularly in applying generative models to product development.
• Experience with classification techniques for multiclass and multilabel classification.
• Knowledge of frameworks like Numpy, SciPy, Sklearn, and experience developing Neural Network models in Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch.

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying machine learning systems to the cloud, particularly with AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Some experience with dashboard tools like Power BI or Tableau.
