Lead Analyst - Remote Opportunity with Norfolk County Council
About the Role
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Lead Analyst to join Norfolk County Council in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in shaping how the Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) utilizes data and insights to safeguard vulnerable adults. As a Lead Analyst, you will lead a significant transformation in our multi-agency analysis, integrating data from key partners to enhance decision-making processes.
What You'll Do
- Enhance the NSAB insight & performance framework by establishing common definitions and measures, setting reporting cadence, and aligning analysis with Board priorities.
- Own the Power BI suite by modeling multi-agency data, developing DAX measures, designing intuitive visuals, automating refreshes, ensuring data quality, and documenting products.
- Produce high-quality narrative reporting that translates trends and themes into actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate multi-agency data flows by collaborating with Social Care, Police, Health (ICB/Trusts), and VCSE partners to establish reliable inputs and shared definitions.
- Safeguard privacy and compliance by partnering with Information Governance leads to ensure GDPR-compliant data use and effective data sharing approaches.
- Manage delivery by maintaining an analytics roadmap and backlog, applying sound project management disciplines to meet deadlines and priorities.
- Build capability and engagement by presenting findings to diverse audiences, upskilling stakeholders in data literacy, and acting as the single point of contact for NSAB analytics.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering high-quality analysis to senior and multi-agency audiences.
- Clear and persuasive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into concise, actionable insights.
- Project management capability.
- Understanding of safeguarding context, public sector information governance, and confidentiality.
- Experience with adult safeguarding data or multi-agency public sector datasets.
- Knowledge of data sharing arrangements and information governance in a partnership environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with advanced analytics tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with additional data visualization tools beyond Power BI.
- Experience in public sector analytics or similar fields.
