About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Kafka & Linux System Administrator remote to support and manage enterprise-scale messaging and middleware environments. What You'll Do
- Administer and support Apache Kafka clusters including Broker, Zookeeper, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and KSQL.
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Kafka environments.
- Build and maintain new environments and clusters to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide middleware and production support for distributed systems.
- Support application configuration and deployments effectively.
- Automate tasks using Ansible scripting to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability across all platforms.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Kafka Administration.
- Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments, preferably RHEL.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka ecosystem components.
- Experience with environment setup and deployment processes.
- Proficiency in Ansible and automation scripting.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
