Junior Underwriter - Cargo Focus (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Underwriter - Cargo Focus (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Tryg. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building a strong professional environment within our Underwriting Operations team, focusing on Cargo insurance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and profitability of our SME clients by ensuring quality and timely underwriting processes.

What You'll Do

• Issue quotes and renewals for Cargo insurance policies.
• Make adjustments to existing policies as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with sales and support teams.
• Collect, analyze, and assess risk information.
• Contribute to enhancing collaboration with other underwriting areas, including developing Fast Track flows and standardized processes.

Requirements

• Experience in the commercial insurance sector, preferably with a focus on Cargo.
• Understanding of risk parameters affecting customer exposure.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Solution-oriented and willing to challenge processes and colleagues.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to build good relationships across teams.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn, motivated by achieving results.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as an Assistant Underwriter or Junior Underwriter.
• Background in underwriting, claims handling, support, or sales and consulting.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and management.
