Junior Biotechnician - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Junior Biotechnician to join our team at Charles River Laboratories. This remote opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on health and well-being globally. As a Junior Biotechnician, you will be responsible for various aspects of animal studies, ensuring the welfare of the animals under your care and contributing to the success of our projects.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with colleagues and team leaders to maintain high standards of animal welfare.
• Perform daily care and monitoring of animals involved in studies.
• Learn and execute common techniques and measurements required for each study.
• Work under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in coordinating multiple studies, contributing to the overall success of the department.
• Participate in weekend shifts as part of your responsibilities.
• Engage in continuous learning and development through internal training programs.
• Contribute to a positive and constructive team environment.

Requirements

• Vocational or higher education level (MBO or HBO) with a relevant qualification.
• Availability for 32-40 hours per week, including weekend shifts.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
• Proactive attitude towards improving procedures and processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a laboratory or animal care setting.
• Knowledge of animal welfare regulations and standards.
• Strong communication skills in English.
