IT Trainer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Trainer to join our team at GFN GmbH. This IT Trainer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to support individuals in their further education and professional reorientation across Germany. As an IT Trainer, you will conduct several weeks of training assignments, teaching various IT learning fields according to the IHK framework curriculum.

What You'll Do

  • Teach programming concepts including UML class diagrams, use case diagrams, EPK, Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams, program flow charts, and pseudocode.
  • Instruct students in programming with Python and object-oriented programming with Java.
  • Guide learners in planning, executing, testing, and deploying software projects.
  • Conduct web development training using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Facilitate database development and design using SQL.
  • Set up IT workplaces, including both hardware and software components.
  • Introduce network technology concepts such as network topologies, components, coupling devices, protocols, and OSI layer models.
  • Teach current server and client operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Cover IT security topics including types of attacks, firewalls, DMZ, encryption, VPN, and virus protection and removal.
  • Discuss data protection (GDPR) and data security.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in IT or completed computer science studies, or comparable training.
  • Training qualification examination of the IHK (AEVO) or willingness to provide such proof.
  • Teaching experience in adult education, ideally in the funded education sector.
  • Strong pedagogical and didactic competencies.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to engage with learners effectively.

  • Ability to develop engaging teaching materials.
